Miss Division:
Eligibility Requirements:
• You must be 18 years of age before national finals and no older than 25 years of age before the National Miss America Pageant.
• You must be a citizen of the United States. You must have been a resident in Kentucky for at least six months.
• You must have been born female.
• You are not now or have ever been married.
• You are not now pregnant nor have ever been pregnant/nor adopted a child.
• You must be of good moral character and have not been involved in any of act of dishonesty.
• You must have never been charged with any criminal offense, or have any charges pending
against you.
Contestants will be scored in the following manner in the five phases of competition for local pageants:
*Talent = 35%
*Private Interview = 25%
*Lifestyle & Fitness in Swimsuit =15%
*Evening Wear = 20%
*On-Stage Questions = 5%

Outstanding Teen Division:
• You must be 13 before the national pageant in May through 17 years old and not eligible to compete in the Miss division.
• You must be, at least, in the 8th grade and no older than a senior.
• You must be a United States citizen.
• You must be, at least, a six-month resident of Kentucky currently enrolled in a public, private, or home-school education curriculum.
• You must have been born a female.
• You are single and have never been married.
• You have never been pregnant and are not the adoptive parent of any child.
• You are of good moral character and have not been involved in any act of moral turpitude.
• Other than minor offenses, you have no pending criminal charges against you and you have never been convicted of a criminal offense.
Contestants will be scored in the following manner in the five phases of competition for local pageants:
Interview - A panel with a minimum of 3 qualified judges will ask questions from your fact sheet and essay. General questions related to your age group may also be asked. Please be knowledgeable, natural, and informed in your interview. This is the first impression you will make on the judges in person! No suits during interviews this year. We want to see you in a “teen stylish” outfit. Dress as if you were giving a speech to your student body, interviewing for a job at a trendy boutique, or being introduced as the new class president.
Talent - Your talent presentation needs to be age appropriate. Your talent may not exceed two minutes and must be registered with the State Executive Director. Talent selections will be approved in the order registered, with no duplications accepted. NO EXCEPTIONS!!! TALENT MUST NOT EXCEED 90 SECONDS.
Lifestyle & Fitness in Sportswear - Contestants will model a tank top and shorts. The shorts must be black in color and should be Soffees or something similar in style. Your shirt must be a solid color tank top. Contestants will wear white tennis shoes/sneakers with white ankle socks.
Evening Wear - You will be judged in a gown of your choice that is age appropriate.
On-Stage Question - You will answer a question on stage in your evening gown.
